Latest PCSIR Islamabad Job 2025

The Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Islamabad, has announced a job vacancy for the position of Principal Engineer (BS-19) temporarily, with the possibility of permanence. The position demands a doctorate in engineering or a master’s degree with substantial post-qualification experience in relevant fields such as Cyber Security, Information Security, or Computer Science. The candidate must have relevant technical experience managing cybersecurity programs with expertise in regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR, NIST, and PCI-DSS.

The candidate selected for this post may be posted to any PCSIR lab or unit across Pakistan. Female candidates are encouraged to apply, and candidates with higher qualifications and excellent academic careers will be preferred. The age limit is 45 years, including a general age relaxation of five years.

Eligibility Criteria

Doctorate in Engineering with 8 years post-qualification experience, or MS (Engg.) with 10 years post-qualification experience, or B.S/B.E./B.Sc. (Engg.) With 12 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field and valid PEC registration.
The degree must be from an institution/university recognized by HEC.
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity programs with 3–5 years in a senior security leadership role.
Proven experience in managing at least one of the following: Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC); Security Operation Centre (SOC); Security Testing; or Digital Forensics.
Experience in regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, DORA, etc.).
No 3rd division in academic career.
Age limit is 45 years (including 5 years general age relaxation as per government rules).
