In a major convenience boost for Pakistani citizens, NADRA has launched a home-delivery and full online application service for the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC). Applicants can now use the official Pak Identity mobile app or the online portal to apply, and have their CNIC delivered to their doorsteps—reducing multiple visits to NADRA centres.

According to official sources, the service is designed to “save citizens valuable time and spare them the hassle of waiting in long queues at centres.” Applicants simply fill out their details online, submit biometric data, and opt for courier delivery of their card once processed.

In addition, NADRA has announced that first‐time CNICs for citizens aged 18 and above will be issued free of charge, and the standard delivery time for these has been capped at 15 days.
