Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 – Assistant Driver Vacancies (BPS-09)
Pakistan Railways has announced latest Drivers Vacancies for 2026. All eligible candidates from across the Pakistan can visit official Pakistan Railways website to download advertisement and application process.
These latest Pakistan Railways Assistant Drivers posts are announced for multiple cities of Pakistan. All eligible candidates can apply online before the last date i.e. 17 January 2026. Applications received after due date will not entertained.

Eligibility Criteria Details
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must fulfill any one of the following qualifications:
- Matric (2nd Division) with Science and 03 years DAE (2nd Division) in:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Information Technology
- Automobile
OR
- F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) – 2nd Division
- 03 months computer course from any recognized institute
OR
- Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS) – 2nd Division
Age Limit and Relaxation
Basic Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
General Age Relaxation: 5 years
Additional Age Relaxation
- Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Rural, Balochistan, Tribal Areas, AJK & Northern Areas: +3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 15 years (or actual service, whichever is less)
- Government servants with 2 years continuous service: +10 years (maximum age 55 years)
- Child of deceased civil servant (died during service): +5 years
- Only one category of relaxation will be admissible.

Quota Allocation Details
The following quotas will be observed:
- 60% Open Merit
- 5% Minorities / Non-Muslims
- 5% Orphans (NADRA death certificate mandatory)
- 10% Ex-Servicemen (certificate mandatory)
- 20% Son of Railway Employee
- Includes 2% for son of deceased railway employees
- Railway Card is mandatory
How to Apply for Pakistan Railways Assistant Driver Jobs 2026
- Interested candidates must apply through the National Job Portal (NJP):

- Applications must be submitted within 20 days of publication of the advertisement in newspapers.
- Processing Fee: Rs. 1000/- per application

- MR receipt must be uploaded with the online application.
Selection Process
After applying through the National Job Portal (NJP), the candidates will wait for Roll Number slip. The Roll Number slip will be issued through National Job Portal for Written Test.
The candidates will appear in the written test as per scheduled date and time and appropriate documents (as per roll number slip). After that, a Final Interview (having weightage of 30% for overall merit) will be taken. Then final merit will be made by hiring department and result will be announced.
The candidates passed the written test and interview and on merit will be called for recruitment.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Departmental candidates must apply through proper channel (NOC).
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be summarily rejected.
- Candidates whose final transcript has not been issued are not eligible.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for test or interview.

- Any fake or bogus document at any stage will result in cancellation of appointment.
